I work security and had been working on a post for a year and 9 months when I was threatened by a rapper who rented in the building, he told me that he would kill me & proceeded to insult and threaten me for about 30 minutes. In the morning I went to HR and explained that I did not feel safe working overnight in the building alone with him. The person in HR told me that they had to take my safety into accountability and that I would be moved immediately. I agreed to work day shifts and signed paperwork to work another post but, after covering the day shift at my old post (until they found someone else to cover my shift) I was never given a post. I've worked maybe 2 days a pay period since and this has been 3 months. (8/29/2014) A week ago I was promised a post but, when I got there I found out it was already promised to someone else. She let me work the day and afterwards she texted me twice to tell me the other guy would work never even calling to give me a reason why. I really don't want to file unemployment I just want to work but I would like to know if that's an option because I am at my last resort.

I am trying to figure out why my car insurance costs so much, and I am having problems getting a straight answer from any insurance company. In the last 5 years I have 0 speeding tickets, no dui's, and 1 not at fault accident. I am a 26 year old male with full coverage on an 07 Cobalt ls, so not even a sports car. Can anyone tell me, is there a law for NEW YORK STATE, that states that if an employer has so many workers in any job (I'm looking specifically at Carpentry/Construction) they are required to supply health insurance for the workers? My family doesn't qualify for any health insurance offered by NYS and we're trying to find one that is affordable. We don't qualify for Medicaid, Healthy NY, or Family Health Plus in NY. We're not rich, in fact, we're struggling, so I don't understand how people can make below the maximum requirements and still survive.
